My journey alongside my husband, who is transgender, has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. When we first discovered his true identity, I faced a lot of uncertainty about how to navigate our relationship. It wasn’t until we were further along in our journey that I found the CisTraNet program at Integrated Praise Community Foundation.

CisTraNet became my lifeline—a safe haven where I've connected with others who share similar experiences. Through this peer support group, I've gained profound insights into myself, my husband, and the rich diversity within our community. The resources and workshops offered have not only strengthened our relationship but have also deepened my understanding of transgender issues and the importance of allyship.

What makes CisTraNet truly special is its commitment to fostering empathy and building bridges between cisgender and transgender partners. The discussions are always open, respectful, and enlightening, allowing us to grow together as a community. I've made friends who have become like family, all united in our journey of love, acceptance, and mutual respect.

Co-founding the "Unhidden Identities" program was a journey to find connection in a world that often overlooks people like me. This BIPOC peer support group, hosted by the Integrated Praise Spiritual Center, became a sanctuary. Now, with IPCF launching the "We the People" initiative, I'm excited about the future. This new program expands on "Unhidden Identities" to include both BIPOC transgender males and females, offering even more resources for our community. I'm eager to see how "We the People" will address the diverse needs of all transgender individuals. .

“Years ago, I ended up homeless and went through some tough times that landed me in a juvenile facility. During that rough patch, I found the "Seeding the Soul" program at the Integrated Praise Spiritual Center. This program was all about helping people heal and grow through different spiritual practices. .

When I first joined "Seeding the Soul," I felt a warmth and acceptance I had never felt before. The program offered a bunch of different ways to heal, like meditation and mindfulness. It helped me reconnect with myself and understand my journey as an African American transgender woman. The support I got from "Seeding the Soul" was incredible; it gave me the strength and tools I needed to turn my life around.

With the help of the Integrated Praise Community Foundation and the amazing people running the program, I got my life back on track. I found my confidence again and discovered how much I love helping others. Now, I’m proud to be a volunteer at the Integrated Praise Community Foundation, giving back to the community that has supported me. .

“As an older woman of deep faith, my journey with Integrated Praise Community Foundation has been nothing short of transformative. When my son and granddaughter came out as transgender, I struggled to reconcile their identities with my religious beliefs. I feared that embracing them might mean compromising my faith or my relationship with God.
