Program Activities

Holistic healing

Movie Therapy

A Path to Healing for BIPOC TGI Individuals and Their Families

Movie therapy offers BIPOC TGI individuals and their families a powerful space for catharsis, using film as a medium for healing and self-reflection. By watching the movie and focusing on your emotions and thoughts, you can identify any questions, reflections, or insights that arise. These observations are then explored in our peer support group’s guided discussions, where we delve into systemic issues, personal triumphs, and shared struggles.

This approach combines an engaging movie experience with meaningful conversation, fostering deeper understanding and collective resilience.

Peer Support

Building Community, Breaking Isolation, Inspiring Pride

Our nonmedical peer support group provides a safe, affirming space where BIPOC TGI individuals can connect, share experiences, and find strength in community. Guided discussions—often inspired by movie therapy—serve as a catalyst for deep conversations that address personal challenges, systemic issues, and healing journeys.

Through shared stories, we break the barriers of isolation, uplift one another, and cultivate a sense of belonging that fosters resilience and empowers each participant to thrive in solidarity and see themselves as agents of change creating a path toward healing and growth.

Restorative Holistic Expressions

Empowering Healing for TGI People

Restorative Holistic Expressions offer TGI individuals a transformative journey toward healing and self-discovery, centered around our Healing Circles. Within these sacred spaces, diverse modalities such as Traveling Diaries, Mindful Power Walks, Meditation, and Photo Journaling are woven into the circle, creating powerful outlets for emotional release and personal growth.

Through these shared experiences, participants reconnect with themselves and each other, finding solace, resilience, and empowerment nurturing mind, body, and spirit together.

Systemic Change

Culturally Appropriate Sensitivity and Awareness Training

Transforming Care for BIPOC TGI Communities

Our Culturally Appropriate Sensitivity and Awareness Training empowers healthcare professionals to deliver more compassionate, inclusive, and informed care to BIPOC TGI communities. Through immersive education and real-world insights, we break down harmful biases, foster empathy, and promote understanding of the unique challenges faced by these individuals. This training is a step toward dismantling systemic disparities, equipping providers to offer care that respects the dignity, identity, and well- being of every patient—ultimately driving positive change within healthcare systems.

Community Celebration

Annual Photojournalistic Community Event:

Triumphs & Tenacity: A Celebration of TGI Stories and Strength

Our Annual Photojournalistic Community Event is a dynamic celebration of TGI individuals, vividly portraying their diverse experiences and remarkable stories through compelling imagery. This event not only fosters a profound understanding and appreciation of the TGI community but also highlights the transformative power of storytelling in building bridges. By connecting people across different backgrounds and fostering equity, we inspire pride and create lasting bonds. This powerful narrative continues to inspire and build bridges towards a more inclusive and united future.
